The pursuit to improve ourselves and learn something new every day enriches all our lives. Our senses and emotions are motivations that provoke the built environment to respond and inspire everyone to participate in life. It’s the spaces surrounding us that frame our memories and help shape who we are. I feel blessed to be able to help communicate that through architecture. Understanding others, listening, and putting their needs above yourself is a main tenet my family strives to achieve. Communicating well with each other is paramount, regardless of where it’s applied.

Our interior spaces are constantly evolving to harmonize how we work, live, and play. After over two decades of designing interiors, I still get a twinkle in my eye and burst of energy when in the element of designing concepts for a new project. The interiors of a corporate lobby with stiff chairs of twenty years ago have progressed to a welcoming lounge area with a coffee bar and fireplace. Studies confirm that ergonomics, colors, textures, lighting, and flow all have huge influences on our daily moods, ability to focus, and productivity. Signature elements you will find in many of my projects are 1) functional, yet unique space planning; 2) detailed ceilings incorporating various lighting and; 3) commissioned local artists. These components touch our senses bringing comfort to all users. Outside the office, you will find me cheering on my growing kids in their sporting events. My husband of over 20 years and I enjoy traveling and exploring new adventures. He often patiently waits for me while I touch materials, crawl under objects to see how they were constructed, and photograph details of natural textures most people don’t pay attention to.
