First International Bank & Trust Executive Suite

Fargo, ND Remodeling 600 sf Architecture & Interior Design

The future expansion space of First International Bank and Trust overlooking Fargo’s busy 25th Street near 32nd Avenue South was ready to be repurposed with an Executive Suite. Peter Stenehjem is a fourth-generation family member to become an executive of their North Dakota rooted Bank. He was ready for more space for private meetings and small events that could be held in his own confidential office. Our design team embraced the natural light from the arched exterior windows and repeated the arched shape with butt glazing overlooking a catwalk to the main lobby. The 600 square feet incorporated a stone desk, a private toilet room with storage for personal clothing and amenities, an intimate and luxurious conference table and leather chairs with video conferencing, a wet bar, and a fireplace with lounge chairs all in the suite. Organic, timeless materials were used throughout. Cherry wood floors, natural slate on the fireplace surround, twigs, and silks pressed into resin panels were used indoor and cabinetry panels. The vinyl wallcovering mimicked leather stitching on the walls. Seeded glass with iron were the finishes on the LED light fixtures throughout the space. Horizontal doors and hardware featuring parallel lift systems created a modern and efficient use of niche spaces in the desk and wet bar. Local artists were also commissioned for wall hangings giving back to the community members making their bank successful.
