Prairie Supply

Fargo, ND New Construction 14,171 sf Interior Design

While Prairie Supply was under construction of their new corporate headquarters in the fall of 2016, they realized they didn’t have a vision for what their finishes and furniture would be when completed. The executive team hired us for interior design services. Their corporate orange/red color of their Prairie Flower logo was a sacred element we featured in accents throughout. Space planning and furniture specifications for 2 executive suites as well as 2 conference rooms had unique features. They included remote-controlled garage doors that opened up from the executive suites to the executive conference room and bar for a large social gathering space. We incorporated custom millwork desks with their own craftsman creating the custom colored concrete tops, floating shelves, and a feature wood back wall. The lobby featured a technique they sell templates for etching with our design of an oversized logo etched into the 20’ high x 60’ long concrete lobby wall behind the city desk as a focal point. We created wayfinding with carpet colors, shapes, tiles, wall paints, and other finishes along with tile elevations/design layouts in the restrooms. We provided details such as countertop specifications and transitions for floor materials throughout. The acoustical design was incorporated into the acoustical backed printed art photography and floating die-cut sound-absorbing materials floating in the two-story open plenum. Signage for the offices, naming of the conference rooms, and all mandatory code signs were creatively designed with metal, orange preferenced laminate, and easily replaceable lettering. The end result was dynamic, yet durable for their contractor clientele.
