Starion Financial was a Renaissance Zone project in downtown Bismarck, North Dakota. An existing 14,552 square foot two-story bank building with a full basement was in need of expansion on the tight downtown property. The owner wanted to improve the appearance of the uninviting exterior into a warm, friendly financial institution. Renovation of this existing facility supports the commitment for their continued growth. The remodel and expansion includes an addition of a third floor atop the two-story building and a glass curtain wall entrance tower. A geothermal energy system replaced the existing conventional heating and cooling system and other energy-efficient elements have been incorporated. We were able to maintain full operation and provide uninterrupted services to its customers.
